NYCCDC welcomes dancers of all levels to join our company.
We are always looking for passionate dancers to grow with us. Whether you're an experienced performer or just beginning your journey with Chinese dance, we welcome you to audition. Dancers are grouped according to their individual level and experience, ensuring everyone trains and performs at a pace that fits them.
Performance Opportunities
As a member of NYCCDC, you'll have the opportunity to perform in 3–6 non-commercial performances per year, presented in partnership with respected cultural institutions and organizations, including China Institute in America,
Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in New York, Bank of America, Steps on Broadway, Dance Festival, etc.
Commitment
Members are expected to attend at least one 2-hour rehearsal per week, with an average of 26–30 rehearsals over each 6-month period. Regular attendance is strongly encouraged, as consistency is important for both individual growth and group cohesion. Absences should be kept to a minimum.
